I showed my Service Advisor everything, including sending him the pic of what Fahrfun sent with ATI 2321.

I don't hear from the dealer all day and when I call to follow-up, he advised the technician said "he test drove the car and everything works fine". I told him "No, LKA works, but ACTIVE LKA doesn't. I don't have the steering wheel icon".

So I had to go back to the dealership and test drive the car with the technician in it. Right off the bat I was was like "do you see the Active Parking Support working? I don't see it working at all. Also, the steering wheel for Active LKA isn't showing. Here's the ATI 2321".

He's like "Oh, let me check into that..." after he does, he ends up finding it after all. Not sure why I provided all the info up-front, but still had to make a trip back to the dealer to pass the same message twice. Long story short, it's done now and the Active LKA steering wheel shows on the PCM screen and on the HUD as well!

Thanks for everyone's help with this. Now I need to figure out why the Active Parking Support doesn't work. The dealer had no solution and sent my car back to me without the issue resolved.

 

Local dealer plays dumb as well. Simply ignoring my requests. In timely fashion, I got a survey from Porsche regarding the current experience with the car and dealer. I don't expect any feedback, but what I described should raise feathers in any serious enterprise, but VW doesn't care.

 

@Kalson: Glad to hear you persisted and “won” that challenge with the service personnel. It’s nice to know that one has a working option finally that cost a pretty penny. I second your gratitude to those in this thread who originally uncovered the problem and shared the symptoms and solution.

Today was the first 500 miles of our road trip down the I5 on the West Coast. Drove most of it on inno drive with working ALK (!). Super jazzed how well it worked especially in the sweeping turns. My wife did not like how promptly the vehicle decelerated/accelerated automatically with changes in posted speed limits. So I will temporarily turn off that left option of the three when she is riding along. Biggest surprise was when we filled up the tank. We let it get down to reserve and the V6 returned 28.2 MPG on its first complimentary tank from the dealer, with and average speed of 64mph.

 

I am asking for information on how to activate this option. I am from Bulgaria and I show ATI 2321 to the workshop but they don't understand it, their diagnostic computers are clearly not PIWI. No one understands me in the Service, so I am asking for your help to share the solution to the problem. If anyone has a Porsche bulletin for a solution to the problem, please send it to me so that I can show it to the Porsche Service Center in Bulgaria.Apparently I have to explain to them how to activate it, which is absolutely incorrect, but apparently the world is already different after COVID-19 and we will have to help ourselves. Thank you very much in advance

 

Unfortunately I have the same issue. My ALK and Innodrive don’t show in the menu. Waiting for a reply from the Porsche dealer right now.

i also have the issue, that radiator vents are open all the time. Do you have the same issue with the vents and is there a fix for that?

Same problem as you with the innodrive and keeping it active in the tracks. He has to go to Porsche tomorrow.
I also have the little yellow steering wheel coming on unexpectedly.
On the other hand, I didn't know that the grille could be closed.

 

If you visit a Porsche workshop, please write how they activate it for you so that I can tell the Porsche workshop here in Bulgaria how to do it

I am not sure the radiator grill is supposed to be closed to be honest with you folks…. On BMWs they close at highway speed sometimes for aero purposes so there is a possibility everything is fine and only the config just “looks” that way.

 

What is it about LKA or ALKA do y’all like?

I hate it.

 

I do not have innovadrive but I do have - in my options - Active Lane Keeping inc. AAC . I also do not really get any pop up in the pcm to be honest. Lane keep assist works very well and AAC the same. I cannot find ALK anywhere and I have tried almost everything.

So the questions:

1) Should I be getting the pop up in the PCM - or is there another way to "secretly find" the ALK?

2) What does innodrive offer more?

Good visit to the Porsche center yesterday.
Conclusion Innodrive and active track maintenance are missing on your vehicle. Sorry.
But at the moment we don't know how to make it work. A solution will certainly come.
