With software this is becoming pretty common - my wife's BMW iX was held up in a stop sale for 3 weeks. My 2024 Cayenne e-hybrid order has been pushed back 2 months. In both cases - I just roll with the punches and in fact the timing has worked out better. The days of ordering a car and getting it exactly when you want it are over. Deal with it or dont custom order a new car. Its going to be too painful if your expectations are different.

Yeah, stop sales happen with every brand, I'm ok waiting and glad it is already in the US even though it is stuck at the port. I agree the communication has been spotty at best and the forum's should not have better information than the SA's ... my $0.02

Same crock of s*** going in with the X5. Stop sale related to software issue with the Driver’s Assistance Pkg. My M60i produced last week arrived at the dealer yesterday. Sales Mgr says a fix coming by weekend. We will see!

Sorry to hear that... the software issue amazes me always... I had an issue with my driver's window in a Mercedes and they fixed it with software... not a switch or motor or anything hardware related...

Agreed. Today's cars are complex computer driven systems. It’s usually software or firmware and I don’t pretend to understand it. I loved the lack of tech in my 2002 C4.

I am a software engineer. The problem is that in the past 10 or so years the entry level to IT has dropped significantly. I mean, nowadays almost anyone can become a coder with a slight dedication to learning the stuff for 3-4 months and then land a job writing ****ty code and not understanding the principles of a good software. Of course, companies that are willing to earn more, quickly realized that it's cheaper to pay for software (even a ****ty one), than manufacture real mechanical components. Porsche outsources it's software development, which makes it even worse.

Great for you, post some feedback once you have it! More nonsense and misinformation for the rest of us unfortunately.

There is still a stop sale, how are they delivering it? My car isn’t in the recall range and doesn’t need an update but I can’t get it because Porsche said no.
