Also Cayenne S in the Bay -- Walnut Creek Porsche, here. Car has been at the port since 7/21. Haven't heard any details.

I wonder if there any repercussions to these Lithium batteries in the cars by sitting stagnant for more 3 months? How will that affect the battery reliability when delivery finally arrives? Do we know if all the protective transport covers stay in place, so the cars are not just being etched by acid rain and sun?

Mine was in the floor and the battery was near dead from all the tire kickers fiddling with it. I'm sure the dealer doesn't care.

I have similar worries, but am just ignoring them. I have a LiPo battery in my 911 992 and it died at Stage 1 under volt protection and then I was able to bring it back to life. So far no issues.

I bought my 2019 Cayenne Hybrid in early 2020, after it spent nearly a year sitting on a dealer lot. The lithium battery completely died 36 months into my ownership (and about 48 months into the vehicle's existence).

I'm assuming the battery is not connected until it arrives at the dealership. My car spent 1 month at the port and now 2.5 weeks at the dealership, so I'm hoping the battery isn't suffering too much, but who knows.

My S arrived in Jacksonville port on 7/21. It's still there. Dealership in NC tells me that they are still waiting to hear from Porsche when the software update is "coming out". I took that to mean the software update is not even ready for release.

Same story from my dealer in OH. They don't have any information from Porsche regarding when the update will be available to them. My car has been there since 7/26.

No news from SA in Denver. He said as of today they haven’t heard anything. My car has been at the dealership since July 25th waiting for the fix.

Hey Guys - I'm waiting on delivery of my Cayenne S Coupe and am located in the LA area. Talked with my SA this morning and he said they are still waiting for the software with no timetable on when it will arrive.
