As far as I know I'm still in the late May/US delivery camp. If that slips any more, I'm going to be hard pressed to maintain my part in the charade.

The poor Porsche communication to this issue is we are all assuming. There is no official communication from Porsche when it’s fixed and what’s the actuall problem is.

Agreed. Who believes that keeping customers in the dark is a good idea?

Well thats still 3 months before me - TYD is still showing May 28 for me. Luckily I am not in a rush.

I placed the order in June, and I was supposed to get it in mid-October.
The car is actually here in Geneva, but they are not allowed to deliver it until after the issue is fixed (some dealers have more than 50 Cayenne waiting for the fix!)

My dealer has over 30 of them. I was told that the delivery of 7,000 Cayenne hybrids has been suspended worldwide. In my opinion it is really a serious business crisis situation and it's strange that Porsche hasn't been able to solve the problem for so many months. Such problems happen also to other car manufacturers, but I have never heard of customers having to wait so long for a solution. This does not reflect well of Porsche software specialists.
Interestingly, the cars already delivered to customers drive without any problems.
Apart from a bottle of red wine, is Porsche going to compensate this delay some how to their disappointed customers who pay a premium price for their cars?

I just received an email from the dealer today saying Porsche is offering the following compensation.

€3.000 worth of voucher

Or

2-day ICE EXPERIENCE course for 2 people in Andorra, with Hotel included.

Ordered the car back in July 2023, car is been sitting at the dealer seen the beginning of November, still no news on the new software update, it look like it going to be sometime in February.

I got you beat on the order placement too - I placed my order in May (before you ) and was supposed to get it - December / January. I think with a "new" model and the software complexities associated with a plug in Hybrid - they probably f'ed up by creating the expectations that they'd be here earlier. Now to be clear too - the delay is way too long. I could understand a month.

How about just upgrading my car to an S Hybrid (and let me keep the maintenance voucher)? Porsche's out of pocket would be less than $500.

Not sure, you probably have to ask your dealer regarding to that. I am based in Spain, the compensation offer might be different in your country.

I'm also waiting for the Coupe Turbo e-Hybrid I ordered. It is supposed to be delivered in mid-January but my dealer does not know yet when the car will be ready for collection.
When I look at this whole situation, I wonder about the following questions:
1/ Why Porsche launched on the market an underdeveloped car?
2/ Why dealers don't inform about the problem when placing an order for a hybrid?
3/ Why Porsche didn't stop production until the problem is solved to avoid thousands of suspended hybrid cars filling dealer lots and getting older?
4/ Why does it take so many months to solve the problem?
5/ Why Porsche is managing this crisis so badly?
