CarPlay full screen and Activate Android Auto

All offered in this trhead is already available free of charge in public, all you need is google about it , and 1x d-link dub-e100 adapter and do it by yourself instead pay this guy enormous amounts like 645$ for something what available and free in public, carplay-aa for pcm5 , full screen carplay, aa all those you can find at other forums free of charge, as this guy use same which he purchased by real authors of those solutions, so 20-30$ for d-link adapter is much cheaper than pay 645$ for carplay-aa, such price is almost at Porsche dealers , and full screen carplay you can activate free of charge too , google is your friend .

Not sure if this is the right, place...i just received the 2024 coupe, but sadly they say in my country (Panama) porsche connect is not available. So seems 5G or navigation maps are disabled by factory and im limited to use carplay/android auto only by usb cable.
is there any solution other then buyin a wireless adapter?

I press yes and nothing happens

Dealer says is know issues due country limitation.

Yes ,unfortunately we can only remove the restrictions on pcm5

I'll be reaching out shortly to find out about member pricing and installation. Our new to us 2020 Cayenne Coupe is at the dealer waiting for two new sets of keys. Wife is an apple user, I'm an android user and I'm definitely going to need my Android Auto enabled. Since we're going to be in there working on stuff, I figure we might as well go with the full screen option too!!

Picked our new (to us) ride up yesterday! I suppose the first thing I need to do is figure out which software version mine is running, etc.
So, I do that by going into Settings, System, Software Update, then Version information?

Full screen Android Auto success!!
Count me among the list of happy customers! Worked with Ray to make sure I would be able to have a smooth installation on our MY2020 Cayenne.

He provided a list of the network adapters and all parts needed to complete this task. I ordered the adapters from Amazon and made sure the thumb drive I had was large enough to support the upgrade. Since my Cayenne also had USB-C ports, I had to make sure I had USB-A (female) to USB-C (male) adapters as well.

Day of install went pretty well. My home internet was blocking PPTP protocol (and I was unable to change my router while we were on the session), so I ended up driving to the local Starbucks parking lot where we finished the installation. I recommend checking your internet allows PPTP or knowing where your closest Starbucks is located.

After that everything was a breeze, and the new Android Auto fullscreen looks AMAZING!! I highly recommend this vendor!!

Solution is perfect, Guys are amazing, responsive and professionals. Made coding for me in 1hour max despite late night. I recommend it to all without hesitation

There is an other full screen option you can choose






it leave the bar on top and right side of the screen

However you can see the difference is that icon is really small as it just stretched horizontally which really strange resolution 1772x600

For a lot of app won’t show content properly as below :



You can see that only shows half content at bottom due to this stretched resolution

With 1920x720 resolution, you can have all content showed no issue at all



For the whole screen 1920x720 full HD will not have such issue at all

You may ask how to access the car menu in full HD 1920x720 mode

1.the button on the left doesn’t give you any good features except the shortcut to go to any sub menu

2. to do that, you either press the Porsche log in CarPlay screen to get back to main menu or any physical button just below the screen



Click tie icon you will get back to main car menu

And any buttons below the screen will dose exactly the same as the bar on the left of the screen



Anyway I can do both, so just try to explain which one is better

Here to review the full-screen Apple carplay on the 2020 Cayenne. Although the price is steep ($600 US), I have not regretted the purchase. Installation was completely guided and took up to 2 hours, considering I was unprepared with some adapters.

My review: Very happy

The process:
Like all others most probably, also I was quite skeptical - being a tech specialist myself. However, the ease at which Raymond performed this task was astonishing. Even with a Windows laptop with Dutch System language, he sailed through the installation process which... in all honesty... isn't something you are going to replicate yourself anytime soon. Even for me, although i could follow the general approach, there were so many intricate and complex steps involved, that it made my head spin. One thing i do know: If you are making it look this simple (even over long distance), you are a subject matter expert that completely understands what you are talking about.
Raymond is very clear and to the point, without any unnecessary steps... just very pragmatic. Took about 40 minutes. It's been a joy to work with him.

The end result:
Again, like many of you I presume i clicked the 'right arrow' to maximize the carplay screen, only to realize time and again that this button doesn't do anything and only 2/3 of the screen real estate is used for carplay. I resisted the urge for a long time, because it just didn't seem warranted to spend this money for "a few pixels more"... But using my Cayenne much more frequently while navigating busy cities, making phone calls and listening to Apple music, I became a heavy user of Carplay and apps like Waze. Using carplay frequently with its tiny buttons in the 2/3 setup, was basically causing dangerous situations because of my uneasy interactions with its tiny interface - which kept my eyes away from the road longer than I wanted. And what's the price of safety? Exactly, priceless! So I went ahead and couldn't be more happy. Ok, the screen resolution isn't exceptional at 1920x720 (this is nothing Raymond can fix), but still it's great to have bigger buttons, easier interface elements, more comfortable navigation screen. It looks like this was the way it was supposed to be from the start!

All in all, I'm extremely happy with the process and the end-result. Big thanks to you Raymond! Greetings from a happy customer from Belgium!
