Hello everyone, I have just registered as a new vendor here, I have used my personal account posted few threads about the complicated project on PCM5 in this forum before, for those of you who are interested can search the forum to see more detailed of this in technical prospective.
As a vendor I am here to offerr the service of activating full screen CarPlay in your infotainment system (PCM5)
As we all noticed already, all owners with PCM5 system has only 2/3 screen when in CarPlay screen, this may annoyed a lot of people, the great news is that we have made the screen can be fully utilised for CarPlay display and the activation is as simple as 15mins remote service
And we know that PCM6 on 2022 Cayenne has got full screen CarPlay on PCM6, but now you don't need to change your car, just do this simple activation you all have full HD resolution CarPlay screen just like PCM6 on 2022 model
After the activation you can have Full HD 1920x720 resolution
At the same time, Android auto can also be activated with full screen display
There is an other full screen option you can choose
it leave the bar on top and right side of the screen
However you can see the difference is that icon is really small as it just stretched horizontally which really strange resolution 1772x600
For a lot of app won’t show content properly as below :
You can see that only shows half content at bottom due to this stretched resolution
With 1920x720 resolution, you can have all content showed no issue at all
For the whole screen 1920x720 full HD will not have such issue at all
You may ask how to access the car menu in full HD 1920x720 mode
1.the button on the left doesn’t give you any good features except the shortcut to go to any sub menu
2. to do that, you either press the Porsche log in CarPlay screen to get back to main menu or any physical button just below the screen
Click tie icon you will get back to main car menu
And any buttons below the screen will dose exactly the same as the bar on the left of the screen
Anyway I can do both, so just try to explain which one is better
You can choose whichever you like, Both options are available
For your confidence of using our service, we have done more than 500+ cars in past 6 months and had 100% customer satisfaction
The number of the Porsche owner we service for this full screen CarPlay will give you more confidence than thousands words from any other vendors
All you need to prepare is a windows computer with teamviwer installed and a cheap usb network card can be purchased on eBay or Amazon
If you are technical person, you can also use our automate online tool to do all by yourself
Contact me if anyone of you are interested this upgrade and I guarantee it will be really worth to do and make you love your car more than ever.

Raymond (Innovativesoft), just completed the Whole-Screen Android Auto upgrade on my 2020 Macan GTS. The process was pretty straightforward and took about an hour total. The Whole-Screen version and functions looks identically to the factory wide screen Android Auto in my 2018 Jaguar XFS. The Jag also has an, Android Auto menu icon to return to the main system menu or you just hit any of the physical buttons (exactly like it is now in my Macan). I'm really glad I went for the whole screen versus the full screen version. I haven't yet had a software crash or other issue.
One other note (in case you are lurking like I was), If you don't like to use the "always listening" Google Assistant, a long press on the Porsche Voice Assistant button (which is a button I frequently hit accidentally when I just want to use the turn signals) will bring up Google Assistant (again just like my other car). It would be great if it was wireless, but for longer trips, I'd be plugging in my phone anyway. There are more Android Auto wired to wireless conversion dongles being introduced all the time, so this may not be an issue for many people.
Wireless android auto?
not interested in full screen, don't care.
Thanks.
I assume you aren’t interested in using a Wireless Dongle instead…not ideal but a lot of people like them. There are quite a few options so assume there’s one that works with Porsche. I bought a kickstarter one that isn’t vehicle specific but haven’t installed it yet. The Motorola one has good reviews.
I worked with Raymond (Inosovativesoft) to do this modification and add Android Auto to a 2020 Cayenne with PCM 5. It works perfectly - like its a factory option. I recommend the full screen option.
Make sure you have the right equipment ready and it's easy. You need a custom ethernet adapter (they will send you link - its $12 on Amazon), an ethernet on your laptop (or another USB network adapter) and either USB or SD card for the file transfer. I also needed USB-A to C adapter as my car only had USB-C ports.

Hello Raymond - i'm quite interested in this. I have both an iPhone and Android phone (one personal, one for work). In this process am I forced to choose between the two, or can I run either one depending on what cable I connect?
Also, is there any photos of the iPhone Carplay mode that allows for full screen on the map? (Similar to the OEM navigation map which can be viewed on the entire screen versus just 2/3rds).
1. you can choose android auto or CarPlay , it is full depend on which cable you are connecting, but only one at a time
2. the whole screen CarPlay mode will give you whole screen map

I am longtime Android user, but sadly Porsche only think there is one phone - Iphone, what uses Carplay. If I ask from Porsche they said, that it`s impossible to upgrade you car to work with Android phones. Luckily Innovativesoft found a way and they offer their services via internet. After some 15 minutes hacking and teamview session my Cayenne Turbo 9YA PCM5 and 911 Turbo 991.2 PCM4 both working 100% with Android Auto. Upgrade cost was some hundred dollars per car. They are really nice and help with all problems, you don`t need to be a IT guy to get it done in your home.
I use Android Auto mostly for Waze and Youtube music, but all other apps including google now are working fine. I choose default view because I use right panel menu quite often.
