Did some light detailing underhood and re-secured a hose on the right/passenger's side that I moved while advance scouting the spark plug procedure. The 2.9L TT is pretty quiet. Underhood area felt cooler than I expected, will need to revisit that after a long run during the summer.

Big turnout at Cars & Coffee in Williamsburg, VA. The VW club was there and I was admiring a nice Karmann Ghia. I spoke with the owner and complimented his Fuchs wheels. Then I noticed he had improperly aligned Porsche wheel crests. 😮
I pointed out the heinous nature of this transgression and explained how and why we align the Porsche crests. He was horrified and quickly aligned his crests, thus restoring balance in the universe. Others in the club stared popping hubcaps and aligning crests and emblems to their tire valves. 😀
Good times!

Gummi Pflege'd dynamic seals: 4 doors (body-side and door-side), liftgate, sliding roof
Checked sliding roof drains to confirm they are not blocked. Check: successful! The drain outlet is inboard of the front suspension lower spring link.
@icemang @911SLOW @hacker-pschorr can this please be made a sticky? Thanks!

Drove to the Smithsonian Zoo after stopping for lunch in Bethesda. Beautiful Day. Street parking, as always, was tough to find. Luckily the surround view makes it quite easy to squeeze the car into tight spots.

Bled the brakes, aka replaced the brake fluid. 29,000 miles and a bit less than 2.5 years old. The fluid came out nice and clean; yellow with nearly zero bubbles and no gook. My MB at 2 years old had mud and bubbles in the brake fluid from the factory.
Fun job, not kidding. For some reason this is one I enjoy doing more than others. The reward of a rock hard brake pedal is great!
It took a Guns N' Roses album and half of a Bob Seger album to complete. About 2 hours, first time. I can do it in 1.5 hours next time when I have Porsche jack pads. I used the spare tire jack which works fine but is slow.
While I was in there I measured brake pad thickness: 9mm rear, 5.5mm front. I have been driving pretty aggressively and the pad wear and dust reflect this. Rear shocks look like a breeze to change. Front shocks might not be too hard either. Brake pads and rotor replacement looks straightforward.
Went for a ride with Tony and confirmed 100% success with the project. Had to hear the turbos sing before I called it a night.
Porsche DOT 4 brake fluid in stock at the local dealer $50 per liter. Twice the price of Suncoast before shipping, so I clearly paid for convenience. I bought 2 liters but only used one. So I have one sealed can ready for next time.
This job is super easy, identical to MB and BMW.
Tools:
Motive pressure bleeder
Bleeder bottle
Siphon tube
160Nm torque wrench for wheel bolts
14Nm torque wrench for "vent bolt" lol aka bleeder screw
11mm box end wrench for vent bolt
19mm socket for wheel bolts
Security key for wheel bolts
Ratchet drives
Work light
High intensity LED torch (flashlight)
Materials:
000 043 210 82 DOT 4 Porsche brake fluid, 1 liter can
Paper towels

Installed a Pollak 11-893P 7-pin trailer connector. My S came with a factory blanking plate, but no 7-pin vehicle-side connector.
Seems to fit correctly, but I received trailer light error messages when I plugged in a 7-pin trailer-side adapter to test. In fairness, the adapter was not connected to a trailer, therefore no electrical load was present.
Is it normal to get trailer light failures with an adapter plugged in, with no load (trailer) present? I had a 958-gen Touareg and towed alot, but don't recall getting this error. Thanks!

reset the speed warning with summer tires on now.. .I've been getting sick of the warning going off often in my daily travels to and from Boston .. so..... it was set for 105 & 115.. now it's set for 125 and 145
and I updated the stinger software

Rotated tires side-to-side. Powerflex "Audi" jack pads worked great. Perfect fit and stable.
PCM>Set>Vehicle>Chassis>Jack mode
Two floor jacks and the job was done in 1 hour, taking my time and listening to Faith Hill!
Torqued to 160Nm all around. Love the assembly rod and security bolt key, they work great.
Wiped off the calipers - so much dust! Really big rotors and calipers up front. I know the higher models have bigger rotors, but the S brakes are themselves pretty chunky.
