Sport Pedal DIY Install Tip
For those of you like me who have the base cayenne and want to upgrade to the AL sport pedals. The accelerator/gas pedal cover is truly a PITA to install. It is almost impossible to have the stiff rubber undercuts on the pedal cover to snap over the pedal edges with the limited space in the footwell along with some busted knees and elbows. After an hour of no progress, frustration, and physical pain, I gave up on this method.
The only way to it, for me, was to remove the gas pedal module(held on by one machine torx screw and a plastic hook), install the cover, and reassemble the gas pedal module to the car. Another tip I'd like to add to make a bit easier to slip on is to lube the cover inner edges and pedal outer edges with dielectric silicone paste, I use the 3M version. Be sure not to use any petrol/oil based lubricants as it may attack/degrade the plastic on gas pedal module and cause premature plastic cracking/crazing.

Thanks for the tip, @GulfCoaster ! Do these pedals serve any functional benefit besides aesthetics? They grip better than the stock?

Any other tips on getting the accelerator pedal cover on? Can anyone that succeeded let me know exactly in which direction and angle they managed to make this thing fit? I think I have tried every angle and heating with a hairdryer etc. Nothing is working. The tolerance is so tight. I am sure there has to be a logical sequence (which corner edge first etc.) to make this work. Please help. Haha.

If I remember correctly, after heating the rubber, I quickly connected the top and left side first, then stretch by pulling down and pushing at the same time to cover the bottom and right side. You will need to use your fingers to grab under the lip to get started then push. The biggest problem is the awkward position you have to get yourself in!
