Default Has anyone out there wrapped their Cayenne.

I currently have a White 2012 TT with sport design package. I'm thinking of a Magnetic Gray of some kind. Curious if anyone has wrapped their Cayenne or other Porsche and looking for pro's and con's

I have wrapped mine in Dec 2018 in 3M Satin Dark Grey, with the car itself was in Met Black. Tbh not the biggest fan of black, preferred sliver or grey. In the beginning I just did a full front PPF, but decided to do a full wrap so I dont have to worry about paint correction it every so often (a bit ocd). Have to say I love it, really changed the look of the Cayenne, and protecting the car from minor scratching (swirling). It's almost been 2 years and the wraps has been holding up great. Make sure to find a good installer and use quality wrap, they make a huge difference.

You wrap a Nissan 240sx. I wouldn't wrap a cayenne and not a white one on top of that.

I have seen a cayenne plasti dipped. Guy around brooklyn used to change colors monthly.

Personally i think it looks cheap.

Just a clear wrap on the front, but it's a good idea to pick an installer who's done a Cayenne before....it's a lot of car to cover. I think a wrap is a good way of protecting the paint too. Personally if I was going to wrap and do a color change, I'd do a more 'fun' Porsche color than a grey...plenty of grey Cayennes around. You could get lava orange, peridot green of if you wanted to be more subtle, one of the many great greens or blues Porsche have made over the years.

That matte grey has a very nice sheen to it. Locally we have an owner who did a black wrap with red wrapped hood. Not joking they literally stretched the wrap over the rear Porsche emblems...looks absolutely horrific. Yours looks very well done.

That is the color that I'm thinking. Very cool and the shop that I am considering has done a few Porsches, a nice turbo and a GT4 Just a little tired of the white since I have had it for 4 years. Kind of looking to change things up a bit.

We wrapped ours eight years and 110k off-road miles ago with self healing Xpel -- Still looks good.
Suggest an installer with a very good reputation to do color over white!
Any gaps or shrinkage the white will become very noticeable.
Have taken ours from the hot desert up to the frozen Arctic Ocean with no issues.

Yours look very nice. I've seen an orange macan wrapped around town. How much did you pay for it? can you go through any car wash with it?

I paid C$2800, you can expect slight more for Cayenne, I got a good discount from my buddy (been going to his shop since he first started, thus the discount).
Yes you can go through any car wash. I try to use the touchless ones as much as I can, but the soft cloth ones should be just fine on the wrap. In fact, I did the wrap so I can protect the paint from non-touchless car washes.

2GTS, your Cayenne looks awesome. Do you mind sharing who did the work? I’m in the Toronto area and am seeking a quality installer to do a chrome delete by putting gloss black vinyl wrap on my window trim.
