New Diesel Campaigns

I should clarify that the "cold engine surge" is really not based on cold outside temps, rather cold engine temps. It could be 70F outside and during certain light throttle input conditions there's an obvious and obnoxious engine surge for the first few minutes of engine warm up. Once warm everything is fine. This is a post-fix issue and something I've heard of others complain about. I'm guessing enough people experienced and complained about it that Porsche had to roll out this campaign. Latest update from the dealer is that they won't have what they need to perform the campaign until Feb.
Glad Porsche sent us all letters alerting us to schedule as soon as possible, but then not provide dealers with what they need to perform said update. You'd expect a publicly traded company to be a little more on the ball, but maybe I just expect too much.

Have not experienced the cold engine surging. Then, it has only gotten down to 30F here.
Will be interesting to see what happens when next month we drive north to
Inuvik, Tuktoyaktuk, Aklavik ice road, Coldfoot, then south to Anchorage for the start of the Iditarod.

I just arrived to my ‘13 diesel at vacation home and it barely started. Out of the driveway dash blew up with major fault warnings...ABS, PSM, steering wheel lock, parking break. Just checked mail....same letters. Have had numerous issues “repaired” the the last 3 visits as engine light always on. Since the emissions “fix” it constantly hesitates and surges.

My 911 is not used enough, always on a tender you'd think it'l be fine. I have the same issue with the battery every 3 years, sudden death.

Same with mine. They get it on the 28th and I have an appointment for the 30th.

Well tried to have my “software recall update” done on Thursday. No luck. They tried for over an hour and couldn’t get the piwis to upload the software. So they have a request in to Porsche IT or someone to try and see if it was bad software or what and will get back to me. It was the first one they had attempted to do. They’ll call me when they hear back from Porsche to try again, or if they figure it out on their next vehicle that comes in for it.

Mine went smoothly and my initial impressions are good. I was also the first one at my dealer, so they wanted to keep the car for the day. Gave me a new Panamera 4 to drive. ![Big Grin](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)

when bringing in your CD for this new campaign, is anyone asking the dealer to look at anything else?
especially anything related to our extended special super secret limited warranty granted as part of the diesel-gate scandal?
