Default New Diesel Campaigns

I received 2 letters today from PCNA, one a new software update to avoid some check engine lights, the other with regard to EGR cooler (it's a thing?).

Does anyone have any background on these, i'm concerned not to handicap my car again for performance, economy?

Got the check engine lights campaign (more importantly, driveability concerns), but not a cooler thing.

Please elaborate on that one? Year? What is the action/campaign?

[edit]

OK, looks like the EGR cooler one is for 13/14 vehicles only.

Mine is a '15, so I got the campaign to fix engine shuddering and driveability for that one. Wife got hers for the EGR cooler possible wrong part. Not sure we've ever had any work done to it, so it may be moot. I'll check when I take the white one in for its campaign flash.

I got both today too. They really could have saved some postage and sent them in the same envelope. And damn, mine was just at the dealer for two weeks last week.

Mine was at the dealer Friday for its 40,000 mile service.....when it has 31,600 on it. I don't mind changing brake fluid every four years.

The dealerships aren't going to be prepared to do this service for a few weeks at least. People need to chill.
