Cayenne S, Error Camshaft Position Sensor
Hi, I'm new here, see if you can help me with this :
My Cayenne S 2011, stopped for no apparent reason, the scanner threw error in the Crankshaft Position Sensor, then the Camshaft Position Sensor B2, change everything and I'm still having problems, everything does not work in the right bank of cylinders (B2)
Any idea?
Thank

Getting any particular code does not mean, "replace that part". The codes are simply a start to your investigation to determine which part(s) may be bad. In this case, you replaced the sensors, but did you investigate whether the wiring that goes to the sensor is good and sending or receiving a correct signal?

Cayenne S 2011 - Error Sensor Leva B2 - Connections
Thank you, now I have the experience regarding the change of parts, I get carried away by advice from my trusted mechanic.
On Monday - in the Garage- we will begin to see the wiring and connections
Another thing, like a Cayenne s 2011 with 71,000 Kms, you can fail a cable and / or connection !!!!

If you're in the US - please read the sticky on Variocam failures. If under warranty - have it towed to Porsche and tell them "fix this.." It was an official "recall" in the USA (thanks to members of this forum and a few others) and recalls never expire.
Ah - see you're in Chile so our recall isn't going to help you. At a minimum, you're going to need to have the heads pulled and the valves all checked, some on that side are sure to be bent. Be worth checking the other bank at the same time. Hopefully no other damage was done to the engine. The rule Porsche used in the US was - if they could find all the bits of the faulty bolts - the engine can be rebuilt. If they couldn't (even after draining the oil pan looking for any) - then it was new engine time since they can't insure that some of the bits aren't lying somewhere waiting to cause trouble. And obviously you'll need two new VarioCam adjusters.
In any case - repairing it will require engine removal and replacement.. a big task. Hope that's a good garage you've got it at.

Thank. Happily the bolt pieces were on the top of the distribution, we found them all. Tomorrow we will check the valves, I hope they are straight, because only 2 of the four bolts of the right bank were cut (b2)

If it still was turning correctly with the timing chain - then there shouldn't be any issues with the valves. You may be able to rescue those Variocam adjusters (and avoid engine removal) by getting the updated bolts for them that Porsche uses on the recall cars. A compression test should tell you the story with the valves once the bolts are replaced, and would avoid having to take the heads off.

Thanks, everything looks good, the engine turned without strange noises and the Variocam looks good, only short 2 bolts of the left Variocam. We will do the compression test anyway.
I still do business with the local representative, they want to charge me the spare parts and give me a discount on the workforce, I don't want to pay anything, I think it doesn't apply.

Hi, Friends, we changed bolts and installed everything again, but not start. Accuses error in camshaft sensors, they are new.
Everything is checked, valves, pistons, oil, normal compression, high pressure pump
Any idea?
