Tunes
Did anyone notice that fabspeed just jacked the price up of their tune? Did anything change?
https://www.fabspeed.com/porsche-958...are-2011-2014/
I've started looking into other possibilities, like:
ECU Tune
http://www.softronicsoftware.com/cay...oftware-07-16/ ($1400)
http://www.evoms.com/product_p/tun958.1tt.htm ($1500 for rennlist members)
GIAC - is this a local installer only? Prices were like 3k (crazy)
FVD - 1300
https://www.fvd.net/us-en/FVD9586189...nius-tool.html
Plugin
https://flat6motorsports.com/collect...tuning-cayenne ($679)
"Cayenne Turbo - RaceChip claims an increase of 113hp and 108 ft lbs over the factory output" - this seems to good to be true at this price and claimed increase in HP
https://flat6motorsports.com/collect...-cayenne-turbo 600 - no specific claim of power increase
Would love to hear if anyone has experience with the plugins mentioned above

I totaled my previous CTT last Christmas and it had a Fabspeed tune on it; I contacted them to see about getting another tune on my replacement CTT. After dealing with FS after the wreck, I'd recommend Soul Performance & Softronic. When I posted about my woes with FS, a Soul rep contacted me directly and we chatted for 30+ minutes about how they write the tunes in a way that a layman like myself could understand, and I really appreciated that. There's no discerning differences between the two tunes, so why wouldn't you save yourself $700?
There is also VR Tuned which offers a multi-stage tune, though I haven't been able to find much about them here:

Piggybacks and chiptuning setups are not the best for such a high priced vehicle with a very intelligent ECU. If I had an old 335i or something like that I'd jump on a JB4 piggyback in a heartbeat because it's cheap, simple to setup, you can add mods to the tune, and has high resale value if you ever take it off.
But, with our cars, they're too damn smart. The ECU is constantly learning so if you try a piggyback (basically tricks the ECU into thinking it's running lower boost so the ECU increases said boost) the power will fade over time because the ECU will learn and adjust. A true flash is what's best for our cars, plain & simple. A flash tune doesn't trick the ECU, it completely remaps it.

Bmc filters, forge diverter valves, fabspeed bypass pipes, 82mm intake manifold (plan to put the 82mm throttle body back too), cosmo racing ignition coils. I’m hoping to do full 2.75 catback soon
