Default Porsche of Princeton service experience

My wife had her 2016 Cayenne GTS serviced there yesterday morning. Oil and filter change, check for codes, top off fluids etc.
A vehicle service inspection report was included with the invoice. It stated immediate attention required for trans, diff, trans case.
I questioned the dealer about it and their response was it was a mistake. The Tech checkex the wrong box. The SA is supposed to check everything before delivering to customer but missed it.
The SA was upset because I questioned how this could happen. The Service Manager forwards me the email thread stating what the SA said, "I'm done with this guy".

Needless to say I'm done with Porsche of Princeton. I will pursue this with Porsche NA.

Wow, maybe I'm alone here but your reaction was completely unwarranted. It was a (very) simple mistake - humans are human and no harm was done. I'm sure they are glad to see you move on. Maybe you were caught up in the moment.

From your post it is difficult to tell exactly what transpired so I'm unsure why you are so upset. Why would a service manager share with you an email chain, especially one that puts his SA in a bad light? That would be very poor managerial skills and poor customer service. What exactly peeved you about this?

My guess is the Service Manager did not read the entire E Mail chain.

My suggestion would be to pick your battles. This one does not seem to be worth winning.

Sure, don't complain. Let them continue to be ******** to all of their customers, no big deal.

/sarcasm off

Perhaps the service adviser is reading the threads on renntech.org and sixspeedonline.com about 958 transfer case failures, and "fixing" them by changing the oil... If so - and he was suggesting a change of the lifetime fluid, I'd hang onto that service adviser for sure. And I'd give them 5 stars.

(It isn't clear to me why the 958 xfercase failures are ignored here - I suspect because there is no 958 specific subforum, so things get lost here. But just as well - it's hard enough keeping up to date on the two threads on the other forums...)

OP - what dealership are you going to bless with your presence now that you've burned bridges leading to Porsche of Princeton? It isn't like Central NJ is awash in Porsche dealerships - and most of them are owned by 3 families.

Like I said, when my wife brings her $112k pig in for a simple service we both expect exceptional attention to detail and nothing less. This isn't a $15k Hyundai in a Hyundai dealership.
The SA doesn't read the tech's vehicle history report before releasing it to my wife with a major in accuracy in it. I question it and they are pissed because I did.

My previous exerpance with them was 3 months ago when my wife had them install a new tire after she ran a nail over. Her Pig had 1k miles on it. She specifically asked the old adhesive be cleaned off the rim before it's remounted. They didn't do it. When I asked why the had a million excuses before admitting the overlooked it.

Both my Porsche's were purchased new a year ago and we enjoy them.

I'll try Ray Catena next AND See If They APPRECIATE MY bussiness.

Help them provide better service
You need a sit down with the GM and the others involved

LOL, good luck at Ray Catena, Paul Miller or Jack Daniels. Other suggestions?

Ditto.. the new ownership (Penske) has taken them up one full step in service satisfaction.
