I programmed the Homelink buttons on both my '05 997s and my 2009 CTTS to work my Liftmaster 3800 Jackshaft opener without doing anything special, and I believe that's one of the newer rolling code openers.

If that is not enough, this might help (that's what gave me a hard time last time):
Jay's procedure worked for me flawless after I tried several times with no success. It looks like in this case you cant programmed the homelink without pressing the "learn" button on your car garage door motor. I did it once and worked like a charm.

SUCCESS! This worked like a charm. After messing around in the 100 F heat and 90% humidity for an hour, I went to the forum and as usual, found the answer. Many thanks!

I've tried dozens of times in my 957 with no luck. Thinking the garage door openers I have must be on a different frequency. My Liftmaster 8550 is Security + 2.0, which I think requires HomeLink 4.0, which I don't think the 2009 GTS has. Will try the HomeLink bridge next. Hopefully that works. I will report back.

The HomeLink Compatibility Bridge worked flawlessly. My only regret is spending as much time as I did trying to get the system to work without the repeater. It took me less than 10 minutes to program the bridge and 2 garage doors. I don't love the idea of reduced security, but it is what it is.

Lightbulb It works, Sommer Synoris - 2017 Cayenne

So i just got finished successfully programming my wifes cayenne. Instructions on sommer's website didn't work for me. Here's what did. Hope this helps someone:HomeLink Programming
1. For first time programming HomeLink to a Sommer garage door opener, press and hold all 3 HomeLink buttons for approximately 30 seconds, releasing only when the HomeLink indicator light turns off or the display reads Channels Defaulted.

  • For vehicles with LED lights, the light will start solid, then flash. Continue holding until the LED light goes completely off.
  • For vehicles with a display, the display will first read "Channels Clearing", then "Channels Cleared", but continue to hold until the display reads "Channels Defaulted"
2. To ensure HomeLink is in the default training mode, press and hold each of the buttons individually. When pressed, the individual HomeLink button should react as follows:

  • For vehicles with an LED light the indicator light will blink rapidly.
  • For vehicles with displays the display will read "Channel (1, 2 or 3) Transmitting"

A second person will be necessary for the next steps.
3. At the garage door opener receiver (motor head unit) in the garage, locate the learn button. This is a red button on the bottom of the motor head unit.

NOTE: If there is difficulty locating the training button, please reference the garage door opener manual, visit our website www.homelink.com or contact us at 1-800-355-3515.

4. Press and release the learn button. This activates the "radio" light. Once the button is pressed, there are approximately 10 seconds in which to initiate the next step.

5. In the vehicle, firmly press and hold the desired HomeLink button to be programmed for ONLY two seconds and release. Repeat the "press/hold/release" a second time to activate the door. (You may need to repeat the sequence up to 3 times to complete the training process.)
