I just went and checked the Brochure for 2008. The dimensions are the same. 380mm x 38mm. It seems the difference is in the 2 piece rotor design vs 1 piece.

I've searched and it doesn't appear that anyone has tried to fit three car seats across the back row. Does anyone know if the slimmer booster seats would fit three across?

My sister came to visit this past summer. We put 3 seats in the back. Kids were. 4,4,7 years old.
My poor car.

2008 Turbo front rotors are 358mm. 2009-2010 Turbo front rotors are the same 2-piece 380mm rotors used on the '06 Turbo S.

That's what I was thinking...Turns out I looked at the german Brochure. The 2008 US brochure shows the 368mm Brakes. This is what my 08 has.

Here is the 08... cant find a link to the ROW brochure and my attachement allowance is WAY over full

Is the OP really worried enough about a few mm disc diameter that it'll affect his choice of pepper?

No... But $300 brake jobs vs $2500 brake jobs might have an influence for some. I think the main point is defining the differences in each model year just for knowledge. I would agree that the extra 12mm between 08 Turbo and 06 Turbo S is fairly insignificant. The 350mm Standard Turbo Brakes vs either the 08 or 06 TS is a different animal. There is a clear performance difference between the early brakes and the later brakes.

Interesting. The '06 Turbo S that I am looking at shows option:

1LH Rear disc brakes 19", red calipers

Those are some seriously large discs! I am concerned about the replacement costs, however. The fronts on this car are in need of replacement at at $700 per disc, that's pretty darn expensive.

Best,
TomF

The inch size in the brake option spec refers to the minimum wheel diameter which can be specified with the selected discs.

I am negotiating the deal with all the necessary work costs deducted from the price. We will see how it goes.

BTW, is $375 for a PPI at a Porsche dealer on a Cayenne about right? It seemed a bit high to me...TIA

Cheers,
TomF

Valid points on the discs, but when the discs, because of their initial thickness, tend to last around 6 years and 80K miles, figure at most you'll probably only pay for one complete disc replacement during your ownership of the vehicle. The big brakes on the Turbo S model are really quite excellent and well worth the incremental cost.

Whilst their regular labour rates are around $100/hr, my Porsche specialist Indy carries out a full CPO checklist as a PPI at a fixed price of AED 500 (US$136); this generally takes 2 days.
