Those are some seriously large discs! I am concerned about the replacement costs, however. The fronts on this car are in need of replacement at at $700 per disc, that's pretty darn expensive.

Best,

$700 per discs sound too cheap, where is that?

We have two excellent indie P shops here. Both seem to give a break on PPI's. I suspect the reason is that you will fix at the place which did the PPI so it's a promotional idea.

Were I an indie, I'd advertise PPI's for just that reason.

I think the way to look at the OP's $375 cost for his PPI is to ask him if it will bring him $375 in POM (peace of mind) rather than how many hours does a PPI take.

I just had a PPI done on an 08 CTT at the local dealer for $250. They go through Porsche's CPO checklist. Not sure if your shop's PPI is more detailed than that. BTW I had driven 2 955 turbos and liked them but for us the 08 ended up having more of the options we were looking for. That said, PDCC is amazing and I highly suggest driving one with it if you haven't already. Good luck!

Dumb question: What is a PDCC?

He probably means doppelkupplung or PDK. It's a double clutch transmission which shifts faster than any automotive transmission at least in production cars. Available on Porsches other than the Cayenne and Macan.

PDCC = Porsche dynamic chassis control. "PDCC is an active anti-roll system that anticipates and reduces lateral body movement when cornering. In addition, it minimises lateral sway of the vehicle on rippled road surfaces."

...it also allows increased front axle articulation when use in off-road made.

My poor car.
You "can" get 3 full-sized car seats in the back, but don't do it. The kid in the center will kick the crap out of your rear seat center console controls. <<experience.
