Brand new brake pads have some chunks missing. Use or send them back?
I spent the day putting on new rotors and Hawk Performance Ceramic pads that I purchased from R1 Concepts.
When it came time to put the new pads on the back I noticed that two of them had chunks missing from them (not the sloped edges that should be there). The pic below of two shows the two that have damage, and the other shows all four so one can see the difference. I'd say the missing pieces are probably 4mm deep. Is this a problem or should I use them? If it doesn't make a difference to performance and doesn't affect the new rotors, then I'll keep them to avoid return shipping/hassle.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Do these pads match the ones that came off?
The new pads are slightly damaged but they will work properly,
if they match the size of the old pads
put it together!

One important point is whether or not to use an anti-squeal compound on the back of the pads. The Porsche factory Brembo brake pads are equipped with a built-in anti-vibration pad and do not require the brush-on compound. I'm not too sure about the Hawk units so you'll have to verify this with them before installation.
