Default '05 Cayenne Bose Amplifier Replacement

I need to replace the amplifier on my '05CS, with the Bose sound system. I kow that the amplifiers don't have the Porsche part number, but do have the Bose number. There are a number available on ebay, Bose part #7L5.035.456D

Does anyone know if any of the 7L5.035.456x amplifiers are usable?

A new one is $1200, ebay around $400 so I am trying to see what exactly my options are.

Thanks, any help or insight appreciated.

I've replaced mine with an aftermarket amp. I have made an adapter that allows me to connect into the vehicle's wiring harness without cutting into it. It is the same connector that is on the Bose amp. Hard to find, but if you are interested in spending stereo money where it counts let me know

Then I ran RCA cables to the front of the vehicle to connect to a standard aftermarket head-end as mine has failed. I still have my old Bose amp in perfect working order. It's from a 2004. The Porsche PN you are looking for is 955 645 301 04 or 955 645 301 06 depending on what head end unit you have.

Damn, does that picture bring back memories....
The original Autobahn amplifiers had a black bottom panel, but then switched to clear anodized.

Depending on the revision of the firmware in the amplifier and the headunit, your dealer might be required for a simple software update via PIWIS....
In the old days, it was done via CD-ROM.

Go ahead, guess which one Larry would have liked to be remembered for
