Entry and Drive: a worthy option?
For those of you that have the Entry and Drive option...are you happy with it? Would you order this option again? Please state why. Thanks

I'm happy with it. Unlike the keyless system with BMW (at least the E90 3-series sedan), you can also use the back doors to lock/unlock. One downside is that it's not supposed to be possible to lock the key inside the car, but it happened to me once using the liftgate autoclose with key in the cargo area.

The wife likes it too. No digging for keys so no more messed up nails after a manicure. The button lock is just okay since I got used to the Mercedes touch-the-handle to lock.

there is no way I would order a new porsche without it. makes everything simple and easy. I would say it's the most convenient of all the modern tech stuff out there, though the lane change assist is pretty cool too. Never have to worry about over the shoulder just to make sure anymore.

I like a nice interior. I want great handling. I couldn't care less about keyless entry, lane change assist, rear camera, parking aids, nav.. Give me a full leather interior with comfy seats, nice sound system, and ptv/pasm/pdcc... If i was configuring a new cayenne it would be all about handling and a nice place for my ***. Screw the gadgets.

I read somewhere that the entry and drive has a fake key in the ignition? What is it for? Is it to crank the ignition while your real key is in your pocket? Isn't there a push button to start the engine like in a bimmer?

That said, I won't own another daily driver without this feature.
