Default Only 20 world wide

Just found out this fact yesterday. I was at my local Porsche dealership and saw a new GTS in the Peridot color with matching stitched interior, full CF, turbo II wheels and fairly loaded.

Really nice in person. I was always curious about this color. The Peridot stitching on the interior with the CF is absolutely striking. Incredible looking - must be that there is a slight black green tint in the CF.

Anyway - this car was ordered in June and just arrived yesterday. This is there poster child for the new GTS. So after awhile Porsche posted a delay on this color. The Omaha dealer was trying to order 2 more for customers - but Porsche said that the colors were delayed. Both customers decided to wait. Now after much inquiry - Porsche informed the dealers that they are not going to provide that color anymore. It was found out that there is only 20 of these worldwide.

Instant bonus to these owners. Once this gets around - there will be some people that will want them because - now - they are rare. Prices just went up.

Lucky owner on this one. Its the only one that came into Omaha. Could drive this sparingly for a year and probably sell it for more than what he paid for it.

Nice

Is this the one?

Would really have to see it in person, but from photos/video, and IMHO, this color doesn't belong on an SUV and most cars.

Plymouth had that color on Barracudas & Dusters 40 years ago. IMO, it hasn't improved with age. The Cayenne doesn't lend itself to being tarted up.

I hope buyers don't mind being mistaken for a "Merry Maid" team.

The haters are just green with envy. I want to see one in the wild since photos don't always do justice. I can see why it's controversial but with the right wheels could be pretty hot. Personally I like sleepers that don't scream for attention because I feel that I can be more naughty and will be less noticed - but maybe that's all in my head. I love that color just wouldn't want to own one.

If it had a V6, then it would definitely be worth something...probably doubling in value before you can say P!g

Otherwise, unless Jim Henson returns for the grave, it will be no more valuable than any other Cayenne and will depreciate as well as the space shuttle glides.
