Default mystery button on '11 CS (958)

lower portion of the driver side B pillar. What is it? i didnt push it for fear of launching the nukes for something.

It's part of the alarm system. The switch turns the interior monitoring system and inclination monitor (which senses if the car is moved or jostled), on or off. See page 233 of the manual for more info.

Mike is right.

Great button when you are leaving something like a dog in the car & want to arm the alarm.

I didn't know it was also for the inclination monitor.

Yeah, if your car is being shipped somewhere and you want to lock it but don't want the movement to set off the alarm, you can activate that switch.
