So, (I also fully agree with Endless_corners) shall we hope the the "facelift", whenever it is due, ..will be really a good "Buttlift" ?

Oki-doki..admitedly playing a bit of devil's advocate
Just cannot stand the ignorance behind(pun not really intended!) most of the negative comments on the 958
Yeah, the back can use some tweaking..but the driving dynamics???
Huuuge leap(what she said)

When the people of the fatherland stop taking design queues from other parts of the axis I will be very happy.

Don't get me wrong a pig is a pig is a pig no matter how many circles is turns

But right now it looks like a chop shop job using a Mazda at the back

Am I alone in thinking that Mazda's recent designs have been mostly pretty good, even their taillight design?

"Prosecco w/ full palm green leather" has to be one of my all-time favorite signature file lines. It doesn't get much more Porsche-style than that.

Honestly I like the color combo and especially that full leather package dark green plus full wood so much... It keeps me from upgrading to a 957 CTT because I don't wanna give it up.

Frankly, I'm still having some serious fears about the next generation, ..and, do not get me wrong, these fears are ONLY for the shape/cut of the back.
(Too bad that the Cayenne is not a Brazilian car ! )

I don't get all of these "looks asian" references to the rear of the 958. Perhaps that's because I currently own an MDX which could be from no other country but Japan, but I just don't see it. Rear end looks great to me.

If anything the 991 with it's narrow slits for rear tail lights is the one with the "asian" influence.

Come on.. "Narrow slits"?? We aren't being anthropomorphic but rather commenting about the design language.

Ironically, I have seen some Macan renderings with the 991 rear lights and thought it looked way better than the current 958 business.
