Default Looking at 2008 Cayenne V6 - gotchas?

I am looking at trading my 2007 Honda CRV for a 2008 Cayenne V6.

I've done searches on this site, and it seems like most of the early Cayenne problems were fixed in the 2008+ models. I've also looked at some of the discussions re: V6 vs. V8, and I think I am OK with the V6 - if I want speed, I can hop in my 1998 3.4 Boxster.

However, the one thing I'm worried about is trading a dead reliable car for what might be a lot of heartburn. I've never had any issues with the Honda, and while I understand the costs of Porsche service/parts with the Boxster, the only thing I have ever HAD to replace on the Boxster in the 10 years I've owned it is the brake master cylinder, and I do all of the routine maintenance myself.

Any gotchas with a 2008 V6? The specific car I'm looking at comes with a full service history, and it has not had any major issues.

Appreciate it.

will you be regretting the power-to-weight ratio...? The S is my minimum power to weight personally.. But i guess you have a crv so...

The S gets 1 point less.. According to fueleconomy.gov - so they both stink I guess. I didn't get a cayenne to save money on gas haha. If prices are similar on the used market then it might be worth getting the extra power, no?

The base I'm looking at is significantly cheaper than an S ($5K+).

When I was shopping 04-05's I think they were closer because of age.

I like my base just fine, including towing. The V6 motor has fewer problems than the V8. Plus, it shares parts with the Touareg, and VW parts are significantly cheaper than the Porsche part they replace.
