So I am looking to do pads and rotors, and came accross rmeuropean.com. $387 for OEM front pads sensors and rotors... That crazy cheap...does anyone know if they are legit? How can everything be sold 50% less than the dealer? Are the parts really OEM and real any help would be great. Thanks
I've ordered from RM European multiple times before. In fact, the times I've ordered from them, they've shipped them overnight. It could be because I'm in CA and they're in CO.
You can get some small parts from them too, if you have part numbers.
Not sure what car you have but the price seems fine, in the UK you can buy Pagid pads, rotors and sensors for $360 for a S or turbo on the fronts. They cant be Genuine Porsche for that price though!
you can also try autohausaz and amazon.. Usually online prices for parts are 20-75% cheaper than the dealer. Dealers and some shops and independent mechanics use the markup from parts to pay the bills.

You do understand the difference between OE and OEM don't you? I too have used RME for OEM parts but mostly for the BMW's.
Yes, and IINM Porsche's brake pad compounds are proprietary and you can't get that compound from any supplier other than Porsche (in a Porsche box). That's not to say you can't get good brake pads from an OEM pad supplier just that they won't be the compound Porsche uses in the parts made for them.
Some parts such as the ISV (Idle Stabilization Valve, an electro-mechanical part) on my 993 will be the same whether it comes in a Porsche box or a Bosch box but you'll pay a heck of a lot more for the Porsche box than you can get the Bosch box for. This is where suppliers like RME and AutoHausAZ come in.

And in the case of other parts, I found cross-referenced VW parts for my old 944 and the 955.
Right now, you can't get any better than RM. Art beats out Pelican and AutoHaus.
I say "right now" because it's often the case that good things do not last, so only time will tell if RM can still deliver 5-star A++ customer service and INSANELY STOOPIT PRICES when everyone and their mother starts using them.
There's a famous sign that you might have seen at your local mechanic shop that exemplifies this:
Art seems to defy the time tested science of the triple constraint pyramid and occupies that red spot in the middle that many economists say is impossible.
He's a very hands-on business owners who takes pride in his business and puts his name on everything. I was like that as a young entrepreneur, but now I don't have time to even talk to my mother, so his operation really ****ing impressive to me.
