Dennis, please send some snow up our way! Our roads are bone dry and the kids want a white christmas!

Hmm... here in NJ it's close to 60F and nothing like last year when we had 3' of snow on the ground by now. I'm thinking of taking the motorcycle out for a ride..

Dennis: I was going to ask you how those tires did in snow... glad you posted your experience. Thanks for that!
I am going to pick up some Bridgestone Blizzak DM-V1 in 275/45 x 20 for the new Cayenne S at our local TireRack warehouse.

Unfortunately, we have no snow out west and no snow in the forseeable future. So I have been holding off for now . . .

I had these on a RWD 02 E Class some years ago and they were fantastic. I would put them on the same level of Blizzaks which I have now on my newer MB

I have been very happy with the Scorpions. Compared to the Blizzaks the Scorpions are better on ice and have been excellent through packed and drifts alike.
No problem getting up our ski hill (the hill around the corner from our house is steep enough to invoke the hill descent feature).
Has been great on the highway over blowing snow/ice conditions at highway speeds. Other cars were fish tailing, we weren't.
Have had the Alpines on our BMW and the Blizzaks on our Lexus. Prefer the Scorpions.

They were great in deep snow yesterday. I'm very happy with the Alpins.
