Default Clicking Noise Under the Glove Box

There is a clicking noise coming from under the glove compartment. Almost like a pump pumping something or a sensor or something. Anyone know what this might be? starts clicking once the the key is turned to accessory mode and continues to click when the car is turned on. Any help is appreciated

Sounds like the aircon fan going, eventually it will start to squeak

First time I changed it it cost $116, need another one soon at 120k

Takes about 45 mins to change

Its a single large fan mounted under the passenger side footwell. There are pictures on my gallery. Easy to replace

Other possible sources of this noise can be:
1) Air mixing flap actuators sticking or hunting
2) Leaf or paper stuck in blower wheel. Source of leaf or paper can be via outdoors if pollen filter was removed but never replaced. Another source of paper that I have personally seen has been the paper foil name tag that unglued itself from the blower motor housing and was drawn into the blower wheel.

Remember when we used to stick hockey cards in our spokes held by a clothes pin?

I had this problem a few years ago, and it was the blend air door actuators. I had them replaced under warranty. My understanding is that it is quite an expensive job...

45 minutes?

That includes time to eat a dozen buffalo wings, drink a six pack, and take a trip to the crapper.

I also have the same problem. 05 Cayenne Turbo. Almost like a gulping sound (glug.....glug....glug)' Like a pump trying to move some liquid. Any Ideas's?
