Default Possible Purchase

Ok, question is what is the recommended affordable Cayenne to buy. I'd like to stay in the $20K-$30K number. I have owned a 1997 boxster a 1999 C2 911 and currently a 2002 C4s. All these cars were bought with approx. 90-100K miles so I am used to this somewhat. The wife wants a Cayenne so I thought I'd start at the greatest forum around. Please give me your thoughts on pros and cons of models and years. Thanks. Like every man in the world I'm drawn to a 2004-2006 Turbo in titanium or silver but that's a lot of car for her but if you say it's a great reliable truck then I'll listen. thanks in advance. Tom

I know where there is a gently used 2004 Cayenne S that may be available for $30k, but it's Lapis Blue.

How about an '05 Cayenne S with a new engine and air suspension? $30k would take it today!

I think the OP wanted opinions on years and reliability, features, etc.

As I am shopping in the same region, I'd like to hear some as well.

Not to be a search **** but this question is asked almost weekly with lots of good responses.
This is why when the question arises again, sale offers are made.

Thanks for the brilliant retort. I don't know about the OP, but I did a search for Cayenne problems and it came up empty.

The whole purpose of these forums is for enthusiasts to exchange information, not here this. If you know that this has been asked, maybe you could be helpful and provide a couple of links. That would be much appreciated.

Marc, sticky. For the love of all that is pure and good, a sticky.

And the minimum bid just went to $29.9k, firm.

+1 on TiEdition. The red one is hot (in a good way..)

I have the "Iceland Silver Metallic" - which is a bit cooler in hot sun, except for the black dash (wish they'd switched the color layout and done a gray dash top and black lower dash..) Oh - also - the silver gauges look nice, but aren't as easy to read (especially the warning lights) as the black ones..
