Default Holy **** the 2011 Cayenne Turbo is fast!

Our company produces a variety of content...some for a large Canadian portal.

A recent project saw us gather a number of high performance cars for a video segment and we secured a 2011 Cayenne Turbo as a camera car. Well, presented with a racetrack and a stopwatch we just had to run the Cayenne. It was less than 1 second slower than an R8 spyder around the "Fabi" configuration at Shannonville Motorsport Park which is about 2 hours east of Toronto with the same pro driver behind the wheel.

I drove the Cayenne for most of the video shooting and wow does it move! With PDCC there's barely any discernible roll and, unlike the last cayenne, understeer easily transitions to oversteer and can be maintained in a slide with the throttle. That said, the torque vectoring does its level best to straighten you out again and it can be a bit abrupt.

A few stills from the video. Apparently all the good slide footage is out of focus as they were "pulling focus" so that the car comes into focus and then out again just after the lurid parts.

The vehicle was also very comfortable and returned decent fuel economy. I was very impressed. I'll post a link to the vid once they get it all edited.

Interesting, great pics!

The new turbo is one hell of a car (SUV). The acceleration is mindblowing, handling and c0ckpit ergonomics are superb. Could not be happier with mine.

I have to say I was very impressed. The increased interior space is very well thought out as well. I'm 6'5" and there's plenty of space behind me. Not something you could say for gen 1. Exterior styling is very attractive as well. These are going to sell very very well.

Any luck with the video yet?
