Dealer Loaners

Yes, if I need one they will give me a Porsche or a Audi. Sometimes I will drop off the Porsche when I am leaving town for a couple of days to a week for business. They will also flatbed it to my house if I can't pick it up when I return.....

If it's the dealership where my P!G was purchased, then it's always a Porsche. If it's any dealership in NY, their favorite line is "no loaners, since it wasn't purchased here".

My P!g is getting window tint and a few warranty items done today. This is what they give everybody, whether you spend $150K or less when you get service work done.
Which, in itself is a nice gesture to have the convenience and availability of a loaner at any time....but compared to the Bimmer and Lexus dealers less than 5 miles from my house that offer newer 3 series or IS350s for loaners....doesn't exactly entice me to purchase another P!g anytime soon.
By the way, after putting 25 miles on my F!t, I can't see a reason why anyone would pay $17K new for it as opposed to a one year old Civic or two year old Accord. The ride is bumpy, the engine is tinny, and it's the most hideous looking vehicle I've ever laid eyes on, except for the Pontiac Aztec.

Not true. I purchased all my Porsches out of state, and 3 NY dealers have given me loaners. A4 and Cayennes mostly.

VW Jetta most of the time. They used to give out Audi A4's but times got tough I guess.
FWIW, Mercedes-Benz used to give out free C240 loaners whenever having your car serviced. When Daimler-Chrysler was formed, the loaners changed to Chrysler products and now they give you a lift to the nearby Enterprise rent-a-car outlet so that you can rent a car (and pay for it) yourself.
Times are truly getting tougher....

+ 1. Junk is the perfect description of the "fit". I had my loaner up to 75 MPH last night on the freeway; had to have two hands on the steering wheel to fight it from rolling off the road. It has the "sport" package, lol.
