CTT-S or not...
-Look at the option sticker under the cover in the rear compartment (if it's still there) and see if it has the "E81" option...
-Bring it into Porsche for a brake job estimate. Anything around the $4k area means Turbo S/E81 (or a really shady dealership)...
-Red calipers and Big-@$$ rotors...

My 06 TTS is at about 180k miles, just bit the bullet and bought new rotors. Found a great price at PartsGeek.com, about $600 each for the fronts, so not a bad deal. So anyone else looking for OEM 380mm fronts check them out

My '04 TT is now at 170k miles. Last year winter I replaced valve cover gaskets, PS pump, water pump and thermostat, oil breather membrane, starter and haven't looked back. Needed waterpump; but 'while I was there'...

I now have 160k....dragged a car and trailer 400 miles yesterday. The cats and down pipes are shot so I SS welded new down pipes. The electronics on the dash are junk. Engine and drive train still strong

Not sure if this has been posted before, but here is one from a few years ago with 360k miles. Wonder what it's at now.

I replaced the buzzer in my dash, it's about a 15 minute job. You should be able to get new dash electronics pretty cheap from a wreck and swap them in, if you cared.

Nearing 300,000 miles here. 3 cross countries on road/off road. Still strong as a tank. Replaced the coolant pipes, alternator, water washer tank, cardan shaft, ignition coils, a couple of batteries and 2 sets of tires. Daily driving of 62 miles a day in snow, rain and high temps. Best bang for the buck.
