I found a suitable truck but it doesn't have PDCC. Is this a make or break if focused on making this beast handle it's best?

I have an 05 turbo with 20" rims and my sister has the 08 with 21" rims and PDCC. It's night and day. That option and the 4.8 motor are the two best things that happened to the "new" Cayenne. -Roger

Not a stupid question at all. PDCC = "Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control." Basically it keeps the Cayenne flat in corners with no body roll.
I am glad to hear all the positive comments as this option was one of the required options when the dealer was locating one for us!

Is it related to PASM (Porsche Active Stability Management (?)) ?

Yes. You cannot get PDCC on a Cayenne that does not have PASM. I'm no expert but, PASM is more a safety feature that works more with the brakes and air suspension to control pitch and yaw where PDCC works more to control body roll while cornering.

I was under the impression that PASM controlled body roll to a certain extent as well, although nowhere near as much as PDCC... Maybe I'm wrong though...

pdcc is on all the time and flatens the body roll that much more regardless of PASM setting.

I had the opportunity to drive the turbo with PDCC also. I was very impressed with the cornering attitude of the truck. I will definately want this option on my next cayenne. I wonder how much the hardware ( hydraulic?) weighs, as this may be a factor in adapting this to the 911.

I've actually been playing around with the PASM control lately, and I can certainly tell the difference between the modes. I think the difference between sport and normal is greater than the difference between normal and comfort. Sport mode is quite harsh on bumps. I generally drive on sport unless I'm out on the highway for a while.
The video on youtube of the two Cayenne Turbos through the cones is interesting... you can really see the difference between the PASM and the PDCC.
