These photos are from an event that Paul Miller Porsche in Parsippany NJ Put on this past may. The event was first class as there were many sports cars to drive on the beautiful backwoods and then an offroad course in the GTS. Let me just say how surprised I was at the abilities of the vehicle with the 21" sport tires. Just take a look and see!

It seems quite strange to me that they would use a Cayenne GTS for this. The Porsche marketing tends to show this variant of the Cayenne as the street performance model, not the off-road model. Why didn't they use a Cayenne S or a Cayenne Turbo instead?

I asked the same question, and when given the answer it made sense. They were trying to show the off abilities of the sportiest cayenne, and if the GTS can do that, imagine what the other's can do. The other reason they used a GTS is this was done on a land rover course and they needed air suspension in the vehicle.

Isn't the air suspension standard on the Turbo (S) and an option on the GTS?

+1 on either a Turbo or a CS used for this demo - not the GTS ... and that's why we don't work for PNA Marketing.

It's available as an option on the CS also. This was clearly a marketing exercise geared towards selling GTS models.

They better not reveal my secret identity.....or violate the judgement.....it would be a shame for the whole story (in all of its gory detail with quotes) to be made public.

On second thought, I kind of hope they do 'let Larry off lead'......

They would never do something like that....would they?

If they thought it would sell cars, Dr. W. would personally club a baby seal and provide the fur pelt to each new owner.

Maybe they should consider a new interior package... the seal pup fur package - available now for the low, low price of $9,999.99.

If the Cayenne were eligible for the Exclusive Programme (and thankfully it isn't and never will be), they probably would.

Anything/Everything to get to 100K cars/year.......it truly is his OCD Achilles Heel.
