My company has a Hawker 800XP, and I thought it looked like that.

We have a couple of Gulfstreams as well, but I've only had the pleasure of riding in those a couple of times.

What is the plane in the photo? Also... I'd be careful comparing the Cayenne to a Buick around here...

The Jet in the photo is operated by Delta Air Elite..... and is a Canadair Challenger 604....... (Which was modified by Canadair for a higher top speed, according to the pilot)

you are correct on the Challenger 604. the part about the mod for higher speed, pretty funny. there is no such thing. I'm guessing he tells his significant other that 4" is 12"?!
I fly a CL601-3A and max speed is .835 Mach. I believe the 604 has been upped to .85, but they don;t change the speed for different aircraft. Also, the 604 has a limitation of .83 in RVSM airspace, which is where it is flying almost all of the time.

Sorry for my obviously uninformed comments about the Hawker... here's a photo of our company plane taken yesterday afternoon as one of my associates boards in Miami. On closer inspection, I can clearly see that the plane pictured above does not look like a Hawker. Oh well, what do I know?

Why do you say this?

My fathers friend has a Hawker just like the one in the picture and a Gulfstream. He has 2 planes and 3 Bell Jet Rangers for his personal use and both he and his pilot prefer the Hawker.

I like the Hawker just fine. Our pilots tell me that it is very inefficient though, and very expensive to maintain compared to some other business jets.

My other option is a King Air turbo prop, and I don't like that as much as the Hawker.

Makes sense from a business perspective. I guess he could care less about the running costs. You have to love people with more $$ than they know what to do with.
