Now the question is when they start shipping the stuff. Maybe its just a picture of an empty alluminium box with a few plugs.

Anyone see price listed anywhere?

It's an impressive piece of kit but will I have to pay $1000 to install and play my $300 iPod?

Spoke with both Dension USA & Europe (I think it was Hungary) this morning....The product will be available in June...I asked whether the PCM would control the Ipod, the Hungarian guy's response was, for the money it costs I'd hope so.....guess, it won't be cheap then!!

Okay Lewis, assume I'm a total idiot who needs things 'splained to me like a child (I'll try for a larger stretch later on...) and I have one of these Denison MOST Interfaces in my sweaty hands. Also, my '04 CT has the PCM 2.0.

First, I put this in the MOST loop. The dealership needs to enable this after installation, correct?

Then, I'd like to use ALL these new interfaces. These are for: my wife's iPod; my daughter's USB music (I'm being generous) and my "old school" auxiliary interface. Of course I don't want to relinquish usage of the vehicle's CD changer (again with the old school).

When I examine my PCM, I was surprised to find that I am missing pushbuttons labeled iPod, USB and AUX. So how, in the Dickens, am I supposed to select these input sources?

Surely greater minds than mine have thought of these questions and the plug and play solutions are all ready for implementation.

Wingless,

a while ago Lewis mentioned that possibly there will be a PCM software update for the PAG ipod interface. In theory you could select between sources via some PCM menus.

But then i dont think that PAG will come up with a new PCM software only for Dension unless Dension is manufacturing the ipod interface for PAG.

We all waited a couple of years for an ipod interface and now Dension and PAG will come out with one at the same time. Funny isnt it?

I guess we all just have to wait and see since we cant expect that somebody is violating the NDA he signed.

Nice to see that the long waited adapter comes with an USB interface as well. But what i dont understand is why it has a video output. I would find a video input more useful but then again i shouldnt bitch, i should just wait and see.

Who wants to bet on price, which will most likely (?!?!) include software...

I start the bidding and $750!

A post in the 996 forum stated $399 for the adapter and $100 for install from the local Porsche dealer.

The aux inputs are generic 'line level analog', so you can connect anything with an analog L/R output: MP3 player, SAT radio, Cassette Walkman, 8 track tape deck.....
