Default Who manufactures the Cayenne NAV?

And do any of you previous NAV owners have impressions of the Cayenne system? As an owner of three previous cars with built-in NAV, I have become a big fan. But I also have only had Acura and Toyota cars with NAV, so I just wanted to make sure the Porsche system is worth the investment.

Thanks in advance,
Zeke

I have an Acura 2003 TL Type S and the new Nav system in my Cayenne is far superior other than the fact that the Cayenne has one CD-ROM while the Acura has one DVD....

Better than the Acura - very interesting! Can you tell me a little (very brief) about why you feel that way? I'm going to check one out this weekend, but if you could give me one or two things you like better, I'll check those out first.

Thanks again.

Granted my Nav is not the brand new for 2004 model as introduced on the new TL, I like the way the Cayenne's nav presents and routes it's path, how it notifies on both the display and the driver "info" screen in the guage cluster, the design of the maps, etc.

Now if only I had the "*****" to get this mode so I could watch movies when my wife drives the "Pepper"...

The following site has info about various NAV systems. I found it informative.
