Definite mad scientist! Projects like this should be done in pairs. I will provide the second car.

sorry for not posting updates sooner. Busy trying to replenish bank account (again) getting a little closer. got the engine in the car where I want it (after 5 or 6 installs) working on getting the IPD plenum installed, working on exhaust, and last but certainly not least working on the WIRE HARNESS.
I got 90% of the car interior apart to remove old harness, then the impossible task of installing the new harness (and making it work with some of my stuff) I have not been to a DE or AX in 4 months I'm going absolutely MAD!!!! here are some pic of this madness in progress. In case you don't recognize the last picture, that's where the dash and steering wheel are supposed to be

Totally bonkers!!!

I saw a Speed Yellow pre-2002 S with a 997.1 3.8L swap at PortPlus in Dorval... I thought that was the king... but this DFI swap... my gawd!

That makes 2 of us. wire harness was not meant to come out with parts still in the car. giving me a lot of grief but I knew that would be the case.

I'm new to this thread and feeeeel your pain. I commissioned a Boxster 986 S swap to an '05 996 motor and the wiring/ecu/ignition/dash drove my mechanic off the cliff and he through in the towel.

That's when all the wires came out and custom Motec harness was designed and ordered along with M800 Motec ECU and Dash. Now no keys/ignition system or any other OEM electronic pit falls will stop it. Mainly because the only OEM wires that are still in the car run the head lights and brake lights.

Oh I feel your pain as your call looked like mine back in 05.

Harry... You live in NPR??? I'm over in Dade City! My car's up on jack stands this weekend as I repair after meeting the wall at Road Atlanta. I just finished the new front bumper and all the custom radiator ducts. Additionally I fabricated air scoops for the brakes.. See below. I'd love to see your car as you work on it.
