you should have a radio card in your radio manual... most of time the manual is kept in the same leather case as the owner's manual

I bought my '99 Boxster in '04, and the owner did not have the card with the radio code. About a year ago I got the code from Becker. If I remember correctly, I went to the Becker web site (http://www.beckerelectronics.com/), used the "contact us" link and asked them how I could get the code. I think they then directed me to a form to fill out. Memory is still fuzzy, but I recall sending them the VIN of the car, not the radio serial number. You also have to swear that you are the owner of the car.

If you do need the serial number of the deck, then you'll need to pull the deck from the dash. This is very easy, but you need the special pullers!

Anyway, if renntech doesn't work, Becker can help you.

Please note that using the VIN number only works if it's the original radio, or if the replacement radio has been noted by Porsche. We just went through this where the radio code (supplied by the dealer) was not correct because the radio had been replaced.
The face plate was missing when the customer bought the car and at some time inthe past the radio had been changed.

Is the radio code on the front cover of the radio manual? There is a three digit number with a letter printed on the center part of the page.

My radio code is 4-digits, and it was not in the manual but on a separate card.
