no it will not include the service updates. if you went to the dealership to purchase the manuals you wouldn't get the updates from them either

The 15 Volume set of the Boxster Factory Manual is currently on sale at Sunsetimports.com for $350 plus shipping. I don't believe that it includes the supplements.

If the manuals are printed in 2004 or later they would have all the supplements (hence Tool Pants question).

How does one get the up dates? isn't that important?

You can order updates (supplements) from any dealer as long as you can still get them.
The price as I recall was $9 to $18 (each) depending on the size.
A complete set should includes all supplements from 1 to 82 for a total of 15 volumes.
