Post Option Codes 222, 224, 231, 582..????

Help!

I just bought a 97 Boxster and can't find out what it's options were.

Any ideas what codes 222, 224, 231, 582 mean?

TIA, Rainer

222 & 224 are the traction control system and automatic limited slip systems.

Some of the option codes are internal codes. For example, there's a code for US emissions. All US cars have it, but you won't find it in any order guides. They put the code there so the factory knows what to build.

Here are two good places to investigate options:

Porsche Option Decoder
Boxster Options Matrix

THXS - I figured that somehow those are likely to be connected w/ LSD, since 220 / 221 normally is LSD at the older models.

Yoseif,

thxs. most code those sites worked for, but I already tried the remaining ones I mentioned - doesn't work.

I believe that those codes are somehow connected w/ the Pxx Package Options....

So the old 231 pops up again. This has appeared on 993s as well. We have never been able to find out what 231 is. Looks like we may never know,

I am looking at a 2000 boxster that has the 222 and 224 options on it. Traction controll and Limited Slip diff. Is any of this related to PSM or the TC button on the dash. Also, is this a real LSD, or is just the electronic part of PSM.

The Yoseif!? I didn't realize you were on this board. Thank you for your site. I can't tell you how many times I've gone to your site over the years, especially before buying my '00 AS/MB, full leather Boxster S. Thanks again!
