Default Whats the Best Preformance upgrade for 98 Boxster?

I have had my 98 Boxster for a little over a year now and I am getting bored of its preformance. Not to say that its not a great driver or poor preformer but I just want a little more oomph. What do you guys think is the best preformance upgrade under $1.5k? Thanks

$1,500 is not a lot of money when it comes to Boxsters. Maybe some new headers and a used performance exhaust?

So how much do I need to spend for a decent preformance upgrade? Or would it just be best to get a Boxster S?

You have the same disease as the rest of us, the lucky ones can afford to keep moving up to higher performance Porsches.

Modifying a Porsche usually decreases your ability to resell it.

Evo Intake and Giac chip upgrade. Should give you 10+ hp.......not a lot but it will sound much faster.

Fit a GT3 seat and you will find more cornering forces, as you stay in the seat better.

Do you track the car?

What do you feel is lacking in the car? acceleration? cornering?

No $1500 upgrade will do that. Chips, headers, exhaust may get you 20hp. But that will cost you $3-5K. If you want a quick 5-10hp gain put in 0w-40 oil and 100 octane gas. If you really want more grunt you need to drop a 996 motor in it. $10K.
