New Boxster Coupe Pics!!!
I hope these havent been posted already!
Wow, if it looks like this...I may just have to order....
I really wanted something Italian next, but it looks like this might be Porsche's most irresistable design yet!

Interesting car, everyone is waiting for the $$ (how far below a 997 and how much above a Boxster.
From what little is known, I would chose that as my next Porsche over a 997.

The latest I have read on price is that it will be starting at/around 65k. And the latest on the name is it will be called the Cayman. Time will tell as to what it will be. If that price holds to be true. I'll have to take a second look at some other choices.

I think it will be a mistake to price it above the convertible. This car will sell hotter than the 924/944 if its priced below the current offerings.

According to this article from German magazine, "auto motor und sport" The new 'Boxster Coupe' will have it's own name, will be offered with both the 2.7 and 3.2 motors, and will be considered the 'entry level' Porsche, which implies that it will be sold for less than the Boxster Convertible. While the roofline is similar to the 997, it is flatter, and the rear of the car will also be flatter to distinguish it from the 997.
Ok, where do I sign?!?

The rumor mill is going the other way now with the pricing estimates. I read recently from GT Porsche magazine that this was to be and entry level car as well. Good news may be in store on this model! I have found GT Magazine and 911 & Posche world to be great mags and good sources of info.

Autospies and NEW dont exactly go together
most of their stuff is cobbled together from various internet forums.
i mean they JUST announced that the replacement for the maser coupe/spyder will use a shortened platform of the quattroporte.
i mean that was on the internet months ago.
i dont even have to tell you how outdated and of suspect ligitimacy / originality their porsche stuff is.

To sell a coupe version for more money than it's cabrio counterpart is a BIG, BIG mistake. No one will want to pay a premium for a non-convertible car.
Figures the Porsche bean counters will come up with something like that...

..of course, I am/was hoping for a "base" model more in line with Boxster prices. I think they'd sell like hotcakes, even with the 240hp motor. And maybe they'll still do that.
But as a Boxster fan, I have no problem with Porsche letting their mid-engine layout get a little more substance (hp) so it can challenge the world cars a little better. If a higher price goes with it...so be it. (I can't afford new anyways )
