Putting Boxster in Storage for a Few Months
Guys,
I’m retiring and heading to the beach in Thailand for a few months for some time in the ocean surfing, body surfing, swimming etc. I’m going to put my car in my neighbors garage for a few months. I’m thinking that I should open the top a few inches during storage to take tension off the top. Any thoughts?

I suppose leaving the soft top unsprung might be a good idea someone can chime in if they want. I would top it off with good gas and add the needed Stabil to the fuel. I would use the Blue [marine] not the Red because it will help with the Ethanol . Figure the proper amount and drive it around a bit. Battery tender to keep it charged or disconnect it as long as you know radio code or what ever precautions you would need to take like frunk access and trunk access. Air the tires up to 50 PSI to keep form getting flat spots. Maybe even higher if you can fact check whats allowed.

My '97 sits for months at a time every winter. All I do is keep a battery tender on it. Have a great trip!

Stabul in the gas and full tank, fresh oil change, park on wood not concrete, battery tender. Cover like a Noah from California Covers. That is what I used for hibernation.
