Default Porsche exclusive options documentation

Let's pull together and compile our documentation here. If you find examples of ordering guides, option stickers, window build sheets, etc, post them here. Let's build a solid case for some of the newly-authorized exclusive options.

When you post, please include the applicable model (996.2, 986S, etc) and the option code(s) the documentation supports, such as XRR.

I stopped by Brumos today and they are going to check their "library" of old sales materials for a 996 ordering guide with exclusive options. Said they would get back to me by Wednesday the 8th.

Default 996 GT3 buckets and rear seat delete: XSF, XSE, XSN

Photo and option sheet from a 996 40th AE with factory euro gt3 "elephant ear" bucket seats and rear seat delete.

Note that this car was delivered outside of the US, so I don't think that these photos alone constitute evidence that a car was deliverable like this to the U.S.

Default 987 Cayman XRR

Car and window sticker. This one should easily hold its weight since the window sticker is there.

The boxster has no window sticker that I could find, but allegedly had those wheels ordered with it (at $107k sticker!)

Sunroof delete x51 996 in America. This is solid proof that you can bolt on x51 (ha!) or sunroof delete ( also ha!) to your regular 996.

Go ahead, get out your checkbooks and welders.

Default option codes, pt1

A list of option codes. Wouldn't consider this stand-alone proof that each option was deliverable to the U.S., but a great reference none the less for MKI and MKII 996s.

Sorry for the huge size.

Default Porsche Exclusive factory-installed

A moot point now that the SCCA officially blessed Exclusive options as factory-installed legal, but good to have nonetheless.

So what on that list are dangerous potentially class-breaking options that could relegate us to deeply buried also-rans? I see wheels, rear-seat delete and optional racing seats. Some of the aero kits and such look dangerous on the surface, but weren't they all already available on other model 996s, and only really serve to create more parity for slower models?

Even with all this a 996 is still not on par with a GT3 that runs in SS. As a 997 this is how a GTS came stock with X73 with LSD or PASM that was 20 mm lower than a standard 997 and with LSD as a option . Even this will not let you keep up with a 996 GT3 or a 997 GT3. I didn't see this as making a over dog. I see this as making more Porsche's competitive at the local level so more may come out to play. Sport buckets maybe a way for me to fit better in my car with a helmet. My hair rubs the headliner as I drive so I have to lay back with my arms stretched out to drive with a helmet so I would like to find out if the sport buckets were available to 997's in 07. I don't think that they were until the 997.2, I hope that I'm wrong because going to a 997 cab or a 981 will cost me 10 - 35k out of pocket.

Yeah this doesn't do anything for 997 because of being in SS with the GT3s, but it's a big deal for AS 996s.

Hardly anyone is going to put that stuff on a 996 for regional competition; there just aren't many people seriously building 996s for SCCA autocross due to perceived poor classing with C5Z06/C6. Coilovers and LCAs seem to be the most popular mods I actually see, but that's more ST stuff.
