Porsche exclusive options documentation

I sure haven't found it yet.
I wish ASP wasn't so far removed from street. Because once you really go ASP, the car isn't really drivable on the street anymore. If only there were a class in between, like a class where street-drivable touring cars like a lightly modified 996 could drive to the event, race, and drive back.

I've served on nationals protest committees, and also been the protester and protested, and have served on the SEB.
The following are the realities of the process:
- Your documentation is only good until someone (who may be protesting you) comes up with something better
- Winning one protest, at one event, does not mean you wont' get protested, and possibly lose, later, if new evidence/information is found
- Go with your gut, eg. we have all seen XRR or X51 cars in the flesh on US soil. I would feel ok to good about running those combo's. The seats are a stretch of reality, and will cause some heartburn on the grid.
- Everybody loses at a protest, it is a difficult, stressful process, and all it changes is the final results at ONE event. Even if you win you feel soiled.

So what you're saying is that we need to find the factory option code for skill?
I sure haven't found it yet.

Dear 944 Owners - you're welcome.
of particular interest are the swaybar options (20mm in the rear for the 944S) as well as the Club Sport package which included height-adjustable Koni Shocks up front and 16x8 / 16x9 wheels.

I used to run a super-ES build. '89 NA with a club sport conversion. It was great because it was so low and had so much camber, but the body roll was still really bad and I went through strut mounts routinely.

I've always had this weird idea of finding a 924S-SE for ES. What would you think about that?

I still want to show up to Nats in a 1988 928 Clubsport in CS. 3200lb, but a 330hp 5.0L V8 with torque and 8"F/9"R wheels. Wouldn't be the fastest car there, but sure would look / sound cool.

Not sure what decade it was, but the Fordahls bought a new early 944 with everything delete and campaigned it for awhile.
Getting the m030 parts is hard but not impossible. Getting the LSD is mandatory, but not cheap. My main problem was even with all the camber and grip the car made, it just rolls so much. Even the m030 springs, tbars, and swaybars are just too soft. It couldn't transition very well. The 996 is so much sharper in comparison, even with all the added weight. The 944 was fun when it ran though!

My strut mounts always tapped the hood under hard braking.
Somewhere I have some pics from after the car actually got all the good m030 parts put on, and R-comps on club sport wheels, and I had actual magnets. These are the car basically stock on street tires and as you can see, it was a boat. This is probably my 1st or 2nd season autocrossing. Seems like a long time ago.

Have not been able to find it on a window sticker - just in the factory options list - so it's a grey-area.
COULD it have been delivered to the US as a factory installed option? Yes.
WERE any cars actually delivered to the US with those wheels? Questionable.
