Default A Roof-top tire carrier for Porsches (SOLD)

Hi all. Here's shots of a tire rack I have. It uses the Porsche
roof rack mounts and is a quick attach-detach. I regularly
do it myself at events. I have done 80 mph with it and tires,
no problem. I am selling it because I'm regressing to street tires.
Now $400 cheep!
in Northern Cal.
Joe W.

SOLD.

The wheels are attached by standard ratcheting tie-down
cables. Everything can come off the car in 2-3 minutes.

Joe, you didn't have a problem with the weight of the tires

Nope. I used to regularly commute from S.F. to Monterrey and back to events.

Us 944 guys get a lot of flack from the mid/rear engine Porsche owners and much of this flack is well deserved...but, we can get four extra tires INSIDE the car.

The jack, the air tank, and other accessories CAN be a problem with the four tires.

Best of luck with the sale and watch out for those cones.

Was that rack (Top part) custom made or store bought? Sooner or later, I'm going to have to figure out how to get R-comps to the venue as I'd like to avoid driving them to the event.

custom made with bolt-together aluminum extrusions. Just get the Porsche Telequipment
rack bases, and make whatever frame you want, and drill holes through the Porsche
arms and use the holes to bolt on the platform you make.
