Ive loved my B&K AV receiver for years, sad to see another American company bites the dust. They were based in upstate NY.

I have a Reference 200.3 sitting around. Very nice sounding , it was my last SS amp before going to tubes.

I have an EX-442 in the basement. Only 1 channel working now. It was a brute of an amp. My last sand amp too before going hollow state.

Thumbs up B&K

Still use my EX442 and Pro-10 preamp--had them "upgraded/tweaked" several times by Musical Concepts in Missouri--good, classic, reliable stuff IMHO and still sounds pretty fine.

I have had a Reference 20 for close to 10 years. I'm still using it and it's okay. My main problem is that I always felt kind of cheated that they advertised all of their processors as futureproof as they are "easily upgradeable," but neglected to mention the 4-figure upgrade cost.

I liked my AVR202 very much, but when HDMI came out you could say goodbye to "future-proof"
Oh well, it's long since been replaced but did a fine job while still current.

I have a Ref 20 also, you're right about the upgrade, not only that, but no upgrade at all when they changed chassis. I still use mine for decoding and audio switching, but switch video using my plasma screen controller (pio elite) since the ref 20 I have doens't take component video.

I've had the Pro 10 hooked up to the ST 202 and out through a pair of Klipshe KG 5.2.
It was my first purchase out of college in 91.

The setup will still rock the house!!!
