Looking at this 07 997TT, the report looks good to me, only thing slightly concerning would be an average speed of 42mph - has 46K miles on the clock, so maybe it saw some track time?
As Quadcammer refered... There are numerous posts for this subject, but you may find the attached link informative. Knowing what and why you're even looking at a
The DME data you provided, would not present concearns. However, it's only one of many items that you should considered... Again, there are numerous post on pre-inspection tasks one should pursue prior to purchase.
Good Luck....JB

IMO DME reports are over-hyped. I've yet to hear or read about anyone on this board or 6-speed that had an engine go bad after buying a car with a DME report in the 5 or 6 range.
Agree with tons of info on the DME numbers, but I'm curious about the average speed. I've always seen average speeds in the 25-35 range.
With an average speed that high over so many miles- does that indicate primarily highway driving? Which would mean car is mostly in 5/6th gear? Is there any concerns with that?

I haven't either. You hear about unrelated camshafts and coolant pipes sometimes, but not exploding engines, except for when it happens right there on the track when the money shift occurs. Maybe I've just missed those threads/posts.
(Or I guess it could just be that the cars that explode die a quick death and don't end up on used car lots with DME reports to be asked about?)
For the OP, I'd interpret a higher average MPH as being more highway miles, especially given the lack of overrevs. Highway miles are better than city miles in most cases. Way less stress on most of the car's systems vs stop and go, potholes, etc.

Average speed obviously depends upon the driving habits of the PO. I've heard ~30 is average, but if lots of highway driving at higher speeds, it would be higher, and I can't see any harm with that. In my case, I'm embarrassed how low my average speed is, but I have a very short, non-freeway commute and a lot of local driving, so it is what it is (and it would probably do my car good to take it out for a long Italian tuneup). I wouldn't worry about the overrev report or the average speed, but as always you should get a good PPI.
All thanks for the info/opinion on the rev report. I have read all of the threads around these, and I have drawn my own conclusions about this rev report, in that it looked good - and obviously still need a PPI.
When it came time that I am getting ready to pull the trigger I just felt like I had to post that report and make sure I'm not missing something.
I'm working on setting up a PPI for the car before I go and look at it, 6hrs away - I've heard of the coolant pipe issues, this 997tt has PCCB - so those worry me a bit - wouldn't want to replace them(could always go steel).
Any other thoughts? The car has 46k, has full fabspeed intake/exhaust, no suspension work and I'm told not tuned. I know most people think the fabspeed intake is garbage so that may have to come off if this works out.
Ya know, I think it is electrical tape, which kind of bothers me, salesman say the guy was an enthusiast, I would never do that, I'm hoping it comes off w/o harm to the steering wheel. I haven't seen the car in person yet.
Not tuned??? I'd have a hard time believing that...given the other mods which are normally incorporated to enhance a tune... I'd rather know that it had a tune and what the specs were i.e., boost levels.
Even with a good PPI you may be at risk... A compression leak-down test and bore scope may mitigate some risks, but I'm not sure what the cost would be....
The more you look at this car, the more of story will be told (or not). Remember, there is no deal to good to walk away from and there are many better examples for sale, that have no story.
The 997.1TT I owned, I searched for over a year...when it came time to sell it I'm glad I did...since it was a no story car..and sold quickly.
Be sure to share your concerns with who is doing the PPI...
After the PPI, keep us posted ...good luck!!! JB

I'm with you on it not being tuned, seems odd to do intake/exhaust but then not tune the car. I've attached the full diagnostics(which included rev report) - does this show enough info to tell if it was tuned? Its giberish to me.
