The Smoking Tire - 997TT One Take

I thought they said "11 and a half" in that video...regardless, still fast and right in 997.1 turbo territory. 11.2 would be just as fast as a 991 GT3.

I have no expectations for Matt's videos or any others found on YouTube or the other sites. Some of his videos I watch for a min or so, his others I watch in their entirety... I do love the back road dashes in the videos... The only expense I'm paying is with my time 10 to 15 mins, no biggie. JB

I see the point of Matt making these videos, he gets to drive everyone else's car. However, some of his videos are just beyond sleepy and uninteresting. No one watching these videos gets anything or any information out of them unless he has anything worthy to say. It's like making a home movie with you and your buddy... the only people who want to see it are the two people who filmed it ,generally.
I've seen a few good videos from him that were entertaining and provided good details. Maybe because they were more interesting setups, like a V8 vette engine DeLorean or the Hellcat episode that has much better production quality. Anyways, as long as everyone is having fun though

Remember that the majority of people watching will be living vicariously through him - they're unlikely to ever get to sit in a 911 Turbo, let alone drive one. His presentation and manner appeals to the average Joe, and that's why he's popular. Our perspective is somewhat skewed as we have the luxury of grabbing to keys to ours any day of the week.

I watch various channels on you tube, including Motor Trend, Chris Harris, Salomondrin, Leno, Rob Ferretti, and Matt Farah. Each of them have there unique way of reviewing/talking about cars. As with Matt, I like his enthusiastic approach without getting too technical.
As nzskater stated, i think alot of the viewers live vicariously through him. I like to cars he reviews, from $10K 996s to 100K mile NSXs.

Even if he did, does it really matter? I mean, not good to do on purpose, but given that it was accidental, I can't see it having any effect on the value, and obviously won't hurt the car (that's what the rev limiter is for, after all). Nobody really cares about type 1-2 overrevs, right?
