That is exactly what I thought Chris. A customer brought me a used one, saying it was from a 997.1TT (granted he did not know the difference), but it turned to be for a 997.2TT system.

.2 systems will be about less than an inch short and once the cats lined up the muffler section will hit the engine support. There is no way around it.

Again, this was a used one. FS was not involved in nothing but confirming what we thought.

And again, Fabspeed fails to even chime in with the slightest response. Certainly, they must monitor these forums.

This is crazy but I had to take the exhaust to Trevtec Motorsport here in Vegas to fix the exhaust. They had to tig weld an extension as exhaust was about 1/2 inch short. Fabspeed claims they will reimburse me for the cost but we will see tomorrow if they will honor what they say. After waiting 2 months for my exhaust Evan told me they will credit me $100 for my troubles. I didn't receive my credit. When I inquired about it Evan says his manager would not approve. Go figure jacking a customer for $100 who have have spend about 7k for 2 exhaust system.

Photo below shows how far off their exhaust fabrication was. I would say 3/8 to 1/2 of an inch short.

Show the repair but too bad the repair portion doesn't shine like the rest to the exhaust. Might have to get it polished but better if Fabspeed just supplied my a new exhaust made properly.

Repaired exhaust mounted on my car.

Can you imagine Fabspeed charging 4K for an exhaust that needs to be modded like this?

FABSPEED HERE IS YOUR CHANCE TO SHOW EVERYONE YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR CUSTOMERS. WHAT ARE YOU PLANNING ON DOING TO RECTIFY THIS ISSUE??

Ha! My Fabspeed story is worse. 6K for an exhaust with cats that failed after a few months. Joe, Evan, Alex, Mickey all give me different and ever-changing stories. None of them have followed through on ANYTHING they have promised.

My experience is that Fabspeed doesn't care about customers at all, once they have your $$. Penny-wise and pound foolish in the extreme. Sorry if this sounds disgruntled, but disgruntled I am.

[Side note: If one can be disgruntled, can one also be gruntled????]

Well, that just killed FAB Speed. A local guy also told me they were junk.

this Fabspeed mess just gets worse. But all joking aside, cuda911 you sorta owe the now-banned Leo a thank you card LOL!! you totally piggy backed on his "unprofessional" thread and rode it to your own thread that ultimately helped sink FB by documenting your experience (nice job btw). Maybe a nice wine & cheese basket? I'm sure the mods here can track Leo's last known location using his IP address

I would've just returned it for a refund. I would never modify it to fit, something is seriously wrong.

My experience with FabSpeed has only been exceptional. I put FabSpeed headers on my GT3. more than a year later after about 60 track days, one of them developed a crack. They offered to repair or replace the cracked one. I insisted on a match set. They replaced them both without argument. Can't ask for better service.

I also know that they also continue to work on their products to continually improve.

I don't know where you guys are coming from. I've never owned a FB product, but I have to admit that the quality of their promotional videos has taken a giant leap forward lately.

If they've got great videos, what's the big deal?

Fabspeed came through in the end and paid for the repair. Alex called me to discuss the matter and was very professional. He says my warranty on the exhaust will not be affected and that they would give a deal on any future orders for my troubles. It would have been nice to receive some kind of cash compensation for my time but still happy this matter is now behind me.

From Fabspeed below:

It was all taken care of and refunded back to you. Thanks again and I’m glad we could get everything taken care of. Let us know if you need anything else.

Thank you,

Wow....I hope that no one else has to go through this. There are many good exhaust vendors out there.

I cant see Fabspeed recovering from this blight of bad press..

I agree, being shamed into action is not acceptable. I will look elsewhere for my parts when needed.
